Santiago H. Ramirez, age 79, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Rio Grande
Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born December 16, 1938 in Mercedes, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Felicitas Ramirez; by 7 siblings, Santos, Pablo, Alfredo, Alfredo, Lupe. Luis and Daniel. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Ramirez; 6 children, Zoila R. Martinez, Linda D. (Jose) Corpus, Bertha (Osvaldo) Ochoa, Jesus Jaime (Jenna) Ramirez, Rosalinda Ramirez and Steven Randy (Rikki) Ramirez;
brother, Manuel H. Ramirez; 12 grandchildren & 7 Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be, Angel Martinez Jr., Eric Ochoa, Andrew Ochoa, James Ramirez, Marcos Stampes and Mona Corpus; honorary pallbearers will be, Christian Ochoa & Santiago Ramirez. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston, from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church at 8:00 am. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Services areentrusted to Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston in Pharr.
