Ronald Phillip Thomas' Obituary
March 16, 1932 - September 26, 2023. On September 26, 2023 Ronald P. Thomas,
formerly of Horseheads, NY, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 69 years by
his side. Ronald is survived by his wife, Nancy Thomas; sons, Bradley (Kathleen) of
Big Flats, NY, Dan (Robin) of Beeville, TX, Michael (Jannelle) of Daytona Beach, FL
and Mark (Barbara) of Horseheads, NY; numerous grandchildren, great
grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents,
Phillip and Gwenville Thomas, and sisters, Barbara Thomas and Elaine Thomas
Hazlitt.
A graduate of Elmira Southside High School where he was an avid multi-sport athlete.
Ronald proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War with honor and
distinguishment. After the war, he returned to Elmira, NY where he pursued a career
with the Teamsters and ultimately retired after 35 years of service. During retirement,
Ronald enjoyed to travel and golf until settling down with Nancy in Pharr, Tx. Ronald
will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Private services for Ronald will be held by the family at a later time.
