Mary Joyce Thompson EDINBURG — Mary Joyce Thompson, 79, went home to the Lord on August 4, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 17, 1940, Mary Joyce was raised and lived in Edinburg, and was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker her entire adult life Mary Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ella Mae Kramer of Edinburg, her husband Dean W. Thompson and son Ronald D. Thompson. She is survived by her sons Robert Thompson of Edinburg, Dennis Thompson (Tracy) of Simms, Texas, and daughter Karen S. Thompson of Edinburg; in addition, she is survived by her sister, Betty Vela of Edinburg. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mary Joyce had many good friends in the Edinburg area having been a life-long resident. She will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg.
