Maria E. Garcia, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Harlingen Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Garcia and her parents, Felix & Vicenta Casas. She is survived by her 7 children, San Juanita De La Cruz, Gloria Miranda, Evelia Long, Santiago Garcia Jr., Rebecca Godina, Elvira Garcia, Maria V. Arezmendez & David Jesus Garcia; 5 sisters, Juanita Ruiz, Eloisa Ponce, Yolanda Rivera, Luz Rivera & Tina Castañeda; 3 brothers, Rogelio Ruiz, Domingo Ruiz & Armando Ruiz; 34 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Friday, November 2, 2018 at Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lopezville at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pharr. Services are entrusted to Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston.
