LILIA VALDEZ's Obituary
Lilia V. Valdez, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Valdez; son, Ramon Valdez; daughters, Herlinda Valdez & Amelia Valdez; sisters, Rebecca Viduarri & Teodora Cantu; brothers, Eduardo Viduarri, Ernesto Viduarri & Guadalupe Cantu. She is survived by her children, Sarita Valdez Trevino, Jesus Valdez, Juan Valdez & Lilia Amelia Ortiz; a sister, Getrudes V. Lopez; also by 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren & 14 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Friday, June 24, 2016 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pharr. The family would like to give a special thank you to Amara Hospice and it's staff for the great care that was given to Mrs. Valdez while in there care.
