Joe Gilbert San Miguel, age 86, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, TX. He was a Houston, TX native for 40 years before retiring to San Juan, TX. He is survived by his loving wife, Elida Cardenas San Miguel; children, Joe San Miguel Jr., Blanca San Miguel, Rosemary Viscano, Luis Viscano, Rick San Miguel, Mary San Miguel, Dolores Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Mike San Miguel, Rhonda San Miguel, Linda Perez, Jacob Perez, Joseph San Miguel III, Lisa Marie Cortina, Jose Cortina, Roger San Miguel, Ani San Miguel, Pristine Jo San Miguel, Lou Cardenas, Audrey Cardenas, Alma Martinez, Ruth Martinez, Elida Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Albert Martinez and Bear, Bailey, Leroy and Rocky; also several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston in Pharr, TX from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at San Juan City Cemetery.
