JAMES RONALD KOCHART's Obituary
San Antonio - James Ronald Kochart, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Eden Hills Nursing Care in New Braunfels, TX. He was born September 27, 1928 in Alamo, TX. to Elmer and Anna (Mertens) Kochert. Jimmy spent his life working with and supporting the farming community in the Rio Grande Valley until he retired in 1994. He loved working in his garage on his cars and his tractor; enjoyed all things western and antique; treasured the time he spent visiting with his family and enjoyed traveling the back roads of South Texas and the Texas Hill Country. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years. Irene (Krause) Kochart; his 5 daughters, Kathy (Keith) Rinehart, Barbara (Jeff) Harlow, Rosemary (Ruben) Guerra, Vicky (Martin) Gutierrez, Michelle Lipham; his son John (Angela); his 15 grandchildren and his 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia and his sons, James Jr. and James II. Jimmy's family members will greet friends and family at Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston, 706 W. Sam Houston Blvd. Pharr, TX on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary service to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 312 N. 9th St., Alamo, TX. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Weslaco, TX.
