Hector Vargas Sr's Obituary
Hector (Tito) Vargas Sr. passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at his home. Hector Vargas Sr. was born March 31, 1933 and proudly served in the Korean War in the Army. He worked for years as a dispatcher/jailer for the Pharr P.D. during the 60's and 70's and later as a Court Bailiff in the Pharr Municipal Court un-der various Judges. He is survived by his wife Olga Sandoval Vargas, his three sons, Hector Jr., Harvey, and Harry, and two grand-daughters, Rhiannon and Rachel. Also surviving are sisters, Elva Villarreal, Raquenel Palacios, Rosario Garza and Linda Mar-tin and brother, Agapito Vargas Jr. Pallbearers are Ralph Villarreal, James Villarreal, Jason Villarreal, Michael Palacios, Ruben Vela, and Chris Rodriguez. Visitation will be held on today, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. Jude's Catholic Church. Burial with Military Honors provided by Post 8788 of McAllen will follow at RGV State Veteran Cemetery in Mission. We would like to thank the DHR Hospice Staff for their gentle care of our Father.
