I remember Carney when he was growing up with his grandparents. He was a gentle young man who was very mannerly and kind. I, as well as many of his neighbors, admired him for the great love and caring he gave his grandparents. May he rest in peace.

Carney was a great friend of my family. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a quiet gentle soul who helped my parents when they received mail they didn't understand or couldn't read because it was in English. He was first a friend of my youngest brother, Eli Gonzalez who worked with him at Joyce Selby Shoes in La Plaza Mall in the 80's. He quickly became a friend to all my family. He had an open invitation to my home on Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas or whenever he wanted to stop by. He also made a special effort to do so and never came empty handed. I had the pleasure of knowing Carney through our work at DHS. He was a wonderful person and a caring individual. It was always a pleasure seeing him in training sessions as well as at Dillards. Rest In Peace Carney.
