Beatriz Sanchez's Obituary
Beatriz Sanchez, 89, went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026. She was born in Pharr, TX to Tomas and Margarita Sanchez. She was a member of the PSJA High School Class of 1957. For 40 years, she courageously battled rheumatoid arthritis. Through every challenge, her deep Catholic faith gave her strength, hope, and perseverance. We are truly amazed and grateful to God that she had a long life and remained able to share conversations until her final week. She had an extraordinary gift for friendship. During the years she traveled north as a farmworker, she quickly formed lasting frienships with fellow farmworkers and the families who employed them. Those relationships endured for decades. She faithfully remembered birthdays without needing a calendar and would make a point of calling friends and loved ones
to let them know they were never forgotten. Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of The Heights of Alamo for the care and dignity they provided. We also offer our sincere appreciation to the staff at the Valley Arthritis Center, especially Rey Tevis for his dedicated care over the years. Thank you to
ID Dr. Jelinek, who was very kind to her, and to the staff at McAllen Medical Center and Bristol Hospice. She is survived by her husband Pablo V, Sanchez; children Felipa Sanchez, (Sister) Dalia Sanchez, OSJ, and Jose Patricio “JP” Sanchez; siblings Tomas Sanchez, Jr., Amelia (Raul) Martinez, Lioba Sanchez and Juan Sanchez. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Clarita Sanchez, Celia Sanchez, and Andrea Sanchez and many cherished nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm with a 6 pm Rosary on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Aurora Funeral Home (Sam Houston Blvd.) in Pharr. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Tx.
